CAMRA Recognition
Shadow Bridge Tap was named Pub of the Season for Autumn 2025, presented by Scunthorpe CAMRA. The award reflects the atmosphere, quality beer lineup, and the support of our regulars and local community.
Shadow Bridge began in 2022 in Barton-upon-Humber, at the Old Tile Works, with a focus on approachable craft beer and a welcoming tap-and-shop experience. Today, the brewery has evolved and is now driven by Heather in Scunthorpe, carrying the same community-first spirit into its current venue.
The name Shadow Bridge comes from the brewery's original home in the shadow of the Humber Bridge, and that North Lincolnshire identity still runs through everything we do in Scunthorpe today. The tap room is friendly, welcoming, and full of personality, with regulars, newcomers, and families all mixing together for great beer and great nights.
Reg, Heather's dog, is one of the best-known faces in the venue and usually on shift as the tap room's unofficial bouncer and security team. He is always happy to greet guests and help make sure no food goes to waste. We are proudly dog friendly, and you may also spot other dogs from Heather's pack when you visit.
Community support means everything to us, and we were proud to receive the Pub of the Season Autumn 2025 award from Scunthorpe CAMRA. That recognition reflects the atmosphere in the room, the quality of the beers on the bar, and the people who make Shadow Bridge what it is week after week.
On event nights the room really comes alive, especially for comedy nights when the crowd energy is huge. Alongside quiz nights, bike nights, and seasonal specials, these events are a big part of why Shadow Bridge has become a go-to night out in Scunthorpe.
